If you were considering the 350z what about a skyline (not a chavy one but one that is basically a 350z but with 4 seats!). My dad has one and its amazing!! 3.5L V6 automatic with tiptronic override for a bit of fun. It holds the road so well, i would say better than my MINI does and thats sayin something as im sure you know! Oh and did i mention the noise!!

The added bonus is that it has 2 seats in the back and the leg room and head room is ok unless your over 6'2" then its a bit of a squeeze! The funniest thing is that on the underneath of the boot lid it shows a picture as to how to fit 2 sets of golf clubs in!!

Am i right in thinking that's the skyline V35 and it's import only ?

Amongst the OP's list, the BMW 330d would be my choice. He must be rolling in it. ;)

If you want a car that works in the UK weather perhaps not an Alfa?! They are notorious for not enjoying UK weather!

I'm sure the germans must have something you will like, Golf R32 perhaps seen as you mentioned the GTI, the R32 is a bit more rare and special

I already have the Audi version of the R32 (the 3.2 V6) so its a side step again, the only reason the GTI is listed is because its more tuneable than the A3/R32 and a car I have always liked.

I was always told the Audi was a tame beast VS the R32 and its real power, but having never owned either I cannot comment really but its what I've heard as they wouldn't want that Audi to be a harsh brute as then why do the S3 (yes its bigger and better etc but you get what I mean).

How about a Vauxhall VXR8 Vauxhall VXR - VXR8

Yep my old mans one is an import but you can get uk spec ones, they are normally 5 door whereas the imports are normally 3 door. The other thing is that when they are imported the dvla normally mess the tax code up and i have now seen about a dozen that have the same tax as a nissan micra :D - so its £190 ish a year instead of £400!!

Its slightly softer suspension and a more muted exhaust note, slightly different less sporty seats. Everything else I think is cosmetic i.e looks like a normal A3 where as the R32 is a Golf in drag.

How about paying a load of the mortgage and getting a Mk2.5 MX5 and a supercharger.

Ive just done that, the mortgage bit anyway lol! Dont like MX5's bit hair dresser to be honest :p
