Been here 15 years and for the 1st time my Chorley schools are shut!

Must be really bad elsewhere :(

I had to drive my wife to school so that she could find the info to close it!

Despite going sideways down a hill for about 20 yds, the noggin behind me still persisted in driving 6 ft behind me - some people are VERY short of brain material!

regards

Our school closed today in West Lancs - caretaker has worked here for over 35 years and he said it's the first time he has ever known it to close. I struggled my way in only to be told, then struggled (alot worse) back home again. Quite funny that less than 10 teachers actually turned up (secondary school)!

iirc our school closed for a day, approx 12-14 years ago. that was the last time we had a significant amount of snow, before that, I remember it snowed about 10inches around 29 years ago.

Common Sense is in even shorter supply than grit/rock salt.....

We're open here in Swindon but having to keep checking MetCheck as the forecast is saying we're due to get heavy snow tonight and tomorrow.
