Hi,

Over Christmas I have upgraded our Ex2003 to Ex2007 and it all went very smoothly. Our remote users can login fine using the https://mail.Schoolname/owa. The old server used to do OWA through the url https://mail.schoolname/exchange and this is where I'm having a problem.

I would like to set up a redirect if possible, so any user using the /exchange url gets an automatic redirect to the /owa url. We dont use an ISA server, so would need to do this via the IIS on the 2k8 server if it is at all possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open IIS and click on Default Website, or your exchange "applications"

Open Error Pages;

Select 403 and select Edit

Select Respond with 302 Redirect (Radio Button) and insert the new URL

Obviously select OWA, Error Pages, than redirect to http://name/exchange

Similar to this, my https://mail.domain.com url points to just the default IIS installation. How can i get that to go straight to mail.domain.com/owa ?

If you are using Server 2008 and IIS 7? Do the same redirect. It should be shown as "Default Website" unless you've named it otherwise.

Owa should show as a gold gear, as an application rather than website, so just click on the worldy thing you have named as your website and create the redirect to https://mail.domain.com/owa

Im using server 2008R2 and Exchange 2010.

The way to do it is pretty simple, however there is one step I failled to do that was causing a major issue.

On the Default Web Site you just click the Http Redirection bit on the right pane, and enter https://blah.mydomain.blah/owa

This affects the whole server though, and the thing I didnt do, was click on the OWA on the left, and then the Http Redirection bit on the right pane, and uncheck redirection for the owa folder.

Hence I was getting a constant loop and it would never show the page.

Its all sorted now..
