Looks odd at first sight but I think that the correct answer is posted early in the thread on Reddit.

 

However it might be more fun to have a punt at what it COULD be.

A very dodgy looking cloud or indeed an alien spaceship It's in Italy which makes a change from America!

Looking at the bottom of the cloud it looks like someone was playing with the image in photoshop and did a poor job of smudging it.

The shape looks like the begining of a cumulonimbus incus cloud, but the colour....

It's a stick on the window of a car, is that right?

It is a stick which has intruded into the picture. It looks odd because it is so close to the lens and because the picture you see is a composite of several pictures stitched together [so the branch/twig/stick appears to be hovering in mid air]
