I have a slightly unusual request!

I would like to be quoted on A3 Dye Sublimation Printers / Systems please!

 

Our ADT team would like to purchase a printer/system in the near future.

I am open to any suggestions on printers, although we had already identified Epson as potentially the most suitable brand.

Aye our school wanted to go down this route back in 2005 but when they saw the costs involved they didn't want to know.

 

They just outsource what they want to an external company as it is just as cheap if not cheaper than doing it yourself.

 

But it is good experience for the students as long as the teachers don't start using it for printing teeshirts for the hen parties which the female members of staff go to quite often.

Epson printers are the only ones to use the piezoelectric process so yes they will be unless you're into industrial spec printer hardware which I doubt.

 

As plexer said you need to be using it regularly to avoid nozzle clogging and whilst it might seem counter intuitive printing off items every few days is less ink wasting than leaving it until you need to print and then running multiple cleaning cycles.

 

In terms of the printer itself the R1900 would probably be the unit if the R1800 was before, although the Stylus 1400 is apparently a much more suitable machine (from what I've heard on the subject).

 

Remember the ink is the expensive component so figure a good dark, cool storage site to maximise its life expectancy...

You need to make sure that they are used often as they are very expensive.

 

They are also very very fiddly to install so prepared to get yourself covered in ink and be prepared to get frustrated with it.

 

Ours was/is barely used and is a complete waste.
