Attractive monitor

Our head currently has a Fujitsu-Siemens tablet, and it is now at the stage where a 13" monitor is too small. So, I have been tasked with finding him a new monitor, but this must look good from both the front and the back. His office is a mix of light oak and modern widgets (such as electronic picture frames). So... And suggestions?

 

It'd be good if it wasn't too thick really, as it would really have a presence in the room if it was.

Check out the Samsung T200 and T220. I've got a pair of T220s and a T200 off to the side. They look a bit flashy, very slight red tint (not as obvious as most pictures you'll see of it) and a nice curved back all in glossy black. Let me know if you want a pic.

Thanks for that. It has put me on the road to looking at the Samsung P2070/P2370 models. Which are supposedly a mere 30mm thick. Just a shame about the stand... Hmm.

Oh yeah, I should have mentioned the stands on these aren't great. If one of my colleagues jumps up and down in my office they go all wobby... If you want something 'business' looking, check out the high-end Dell monitors. The 2209WA looks really nice and has an IPS panel, not sure if there's a newer version of it available now as I was looking a while ago.

On a serious note, they are all butt ugly! I'm currently wishing Dell were making the ultra thin screen they announced 2 years ago.

+1 for the 2209WA, I've got 2 of these on my desk (perks of being the senior tech!) and they're quality monitors... the only Dell kit I've ever recommended

 

Only downside is that they are quite large but in a professional \ quality kit way. One thing that might swing it is the tilt \ swivel \ height adjustable \ portrait mode stand and USB hub in the side of the screen

Yeah, I asked my boss for a new PC as this one is 3 years old now and was told no. That'd be £800 for it... So, asking for £4k + P&P for that would be a little difficult
