PayPal or Card?

Just a quick question, I need to purchase some items totalling about £700 and I have the chance to buy them either being invoiced via PayPal or giving my card details over the phone, which would you suggest I would be better off doing?

Cant you link your card via paypal and then pay via paypal? that would be the safer way i suppose... depending on weather you have a paypal account which you would need to get verified etc if you didn't which could take a few days.

Forgot about that, I do have my card linked to my PayPal so I suppose that would be belt and braces safest thing to do, invoice to PayPal and use the card to pay via PayPal. Not a technical problem but this forum sure gets me sorted out for most things! Be lost without it!

Paypal because it means you don't need to give anyone your card number over the phone.

credit or debit card ?

 

If credit card then id use the credit card as paypals small print is a pita

 

If debit then id be inclined to use paypal

Deffo credit card - if something happens and the order is not fulfilled - you will be protected in law if you use a credit card directly - if you order indirectly via Paypal - you will have less protection - as the credit cards will have fulfilled their part of the deal if Paypal is paid, whether you get the items or not - and then you are into Paypal refund hell - and I can tell you from personal experience - its not somewhere you want to be...:mad:

I prefer to do paypal which is linked to my CC as its two layers of protection and does not cost me any extra. Its also quicker.

As per Jinna/Spuff definatly use your credit card. It has much more protection for problems/fraud then paypal. I know its over the phone but even if they did order something you wouldnt have to pay it.

Always pay by credit card for anything over £100. Using PayPal as the middle-man makes no sense whatsoever as they are neither a bank nor a credit card company and couldn't care less if anything goes wrong.

 

PayPal did me out of £200 so they can **** as far as I am concerned. :mad: * ∞
