Which I think is going to become a big issue.. as more and more people opt for TV on demand, the views of the live broadcast will keep on decreasing..

 

However, its not just watching the bbc that dictates your license.. if you watch *any* live TV, you need a license AFAIK

 

Our household (back home) hasnt watched live TV (apart from football/news) since Sept 2007 when I put a Netgear Eva8000 media player in each of the lounges and hooked it up to a media server which downloaded TV episodes from the 'net.

 

Granted getting the US shows is a bit dubious, but getting the UK shows which we were licensed for is perfectly acceptable in my opinion.. and by using usenet etc its not costing the BBC/ITV/CH4 any money whatsoever (and no lost revenue from ads either as previously we had sky+ we just skip the ads anyway)

About time...they say it worked before but it was always just watching it in a web browser and it looked crap

Might plug my wii in for the first time in months soon then :)
