My hope is that they put them all in a big pit and set fire to them :p But that's just me :D

They're not that bad are they???

Well, my experiences of them have been. The words used by a friend of mine was 'annoying white cr*p', to describe their SuperStack III stuff, and you know what they say - once burned, twice shy.

I have to disagree with you here... We use 4400 and 5500's and have no problems at all with them. If one is broke (had 4300's that were not good) then we send them to 3com and get another one back..

We've got superstack 3 here, had no real issues our 'core' switch died once but was replaced by 3com.

You just said you had 4300's that were 'not good'... So, you're happy with a supplier even though their product had issues? Generally, if I find an entire line of a product is 'not good' then I don't sing the company's praise.

I stick with HP - never had an issue with them, no breakdowns, no glitches etc... Which is one of the reasons I fear this merger...

Point taken.... i think HP will continue their procurve products and bleed out the 3com products. Although they could benefit from huawei's engineers that have expertise from cisco's IOS code.

We'll see :)
