We use Panda Anti-Virus here and like it, because we bought the 3 year licence it was cheaper than Sophos (and at the time alot light than Sophos, I don't know about now) and alot cheaper than every other AV out there.

We use ESET's NOD32 here and have done for years. It's a great product with excellent support.

The school I am at now are using NOD32 v4 and it is working much much better than the previous F-Secure solution was. F-Secure was chewing 400+mb of ram after start up, and it got totally lost at combatting those horrible flash drive trojans.

Before F-Secure, I've seen documentation that the school was using eScan and various versions of Norton and Symantec.

I honestly urge people to use NOD32 whenever I'm asked, even for home use. I'm tired of free anti virus suites now, even Avast is starting to annoy me.

Completely agree with both of the above, ESET Nod32 is an awesome product, small, fast and has all the usual features of multiple update sources (for laptops when off site) central management of scheduled scans, updating etc....

Great product which we dumped sophos for in the summer.

AVG is great for home.

Getting more used to Sophos now - will review options when licence runs out.

2 good things about sophos:

console is good

application blocking is very useful -e.g. blocking toolbars, proxy programs such as ultrasurf, games etc.

Sounds interesting. Could you talk me through it briefly?

Thanks
