IP Phone network to analog fax. Which connector

I've just got my phone and fax lines into the office. They are both IP based, which isn't a big problem as they are providing the phone. My fax however is on a HP Photosmart 7280 and has an analog line in. Which of these adaptors do I need to convert the connector?

If your phone is via IP you have a network connection for it rather than a traditional BT master socket?

 

If so you want some form of ATA to be able to plug in a standard phone/fax machine and turn it into an ip capable device those adapters just allow you to convert the style of plug and that all it appears to do.

Yes, very much so! Roughly 90% of our ordering at school is done via fax. About 50% of our quotes come by fax. Very much in use still!

That is exactly what they do I use them for where my BT phones etc go on new installs as its all over the structured cabling. If its a true IP system its all on you will need an IP to ATA adaptor such as the Linksys one but if its like my BT BCM phone system they make specific ones to turn VOIP to other types, same for Digital to Analogue.

 

If its just standard lines over the structured cable you will need in most cases a PABX Adaptor as the fax is probably just a DDI over the ISDN system.
