Is there a wireless router out there with both ADSL and WAN (cable) connectivity built in?

Just trying to answer a question and I'm pretty sure there used to be some out there!

You're right, there are a few but most companies have seperate devices. I think there's little to no demand to have everything 'all-in-one', but it certainly confuses many people I've come across!

The keywords you're looking for are Radio-Ethernet which is a special RJ-45 port which connects a cable modem to the router. You'd then just have 4 standard RJ-45 ports for workstations/printers etc...

A WAN port is an RJ-11 connection (phone cable) which is used for modems and in this case it has a built in DSL modem which would connect directly into a microfilter.

will most likely get flamed for this one but ah well

what you could do is just get an adsl or adsl 2 plus modem that converts telephone into RJ45 ( ethernet ) and then just get a cable router
