Samsung NC 10's are great we have a dozen or so here and they really love them. Ebuyer are doing them very cheap at the moment. Samsung NC10 Netbook Laptop - Laptops at Ebuyer Should be under your £250 budget when you take off the VAT. 1
k-strider Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 We like the Lenovo s10 the S12s are better size but sub 300 not 250 1

jackb70 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 iv had the Samsung NC10 for about 7 months had no problems yet. its quite easy to upgrade. 2GB of ram and 64GB SSD Runs fine with windows 7 and xp.
SimpleSi Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Cons on N130 Power switch is a stupid sliding one on front of machine - I feel it will get broken easily Its got the smaller battery - spend more on an N140 -same machine - proper battery. (One of my schools got done by a supplier -we'd bought 15 NC10s and the school decided to buy some more and during purchasing discussions the head was told that the N130 was the same machine and ended up buying 25 of them!!!!! - and I can't get FOG to image them!!!!!!!) regards Simon PS Obviously get hold of orig 6 cell NC10s if you can
CSNM-Carl Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Picked up an NC10 with 6 cell battery from Laptops Direct for £219 - really impressed with it!
Sylv3r Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 We have 15 Samsung NC130's and not had any issues up to now, although we have only been using them for a couple of weeks.
mjs_mjs Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I just brought my sister a dabs.com - Best Value 10.1" Net Book Black Atom N270 1GB 160GB XP Home (NB-1001), looks good from spec and now it's out of the box. Aparently battery life is only 2 hours, but i havent had a chance to confirm it. It's actually made by DGM, or digimate, a company who i have other products from and have always been reliable for me. Tho the Two screens i have i would say were a little too flimsy for school use. But i'm thinking about getting myself one now to compliment my NC10 (which belongs to my workplace.)
RickHolland Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I've got one of the dabs DGM netbooks too, and I've been impressed with battery power. More than 2 hours in my experience! Rick
mjs_mjs Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 there not bad machines but the NC10 i have getts me 8hr on bats most of the time...
INeedAUsername Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 were now seriously considering getting a few of these units on site mainly down to budgets - how have your staff found these? are they able to use them on a day to day basis? Cheers
mavhc Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Is there a list somewhere of all netbooks with: matte screen and bezel, 6 cell, proper keyboard layout?
pwds Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Highly recommend the Samsung NB30- decent good sized keyboard, damage resistanct case with robust chasis. Looks and feels solid. The screen is excellent as well.
