fixIT Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Anyone know of a simple quick way to search / reveal switches on the network, preferably remotely, web browser based???

Chunky Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 (edited) if not, you can always use the fantastic Spiceworks Spiceworks - Free Network Monitoring Software for Network Management Still one of the most awesome pieces of free software I've used. cromertech Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Related to this what can I do if some of my switches are on an unknown subnet?
diggory Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Related to this what can I do if some of my switches are on an unknown subnet? If you can remove the switch, then maybe plug it into a PC with a copy of wireshark running to scan for any arp packets the switch send out. You might be able to find it's subnet from that.
