Edu-IT Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I seem to recall a script being posted on here that monitors Windows servers/IP addresses. I think it was posted by Ozan. I can't find it now though! Anyone got it or point me in the right direction? It was an .asp script.
RabbieBurns Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I have a .asp script that runs on the IIS webserver to show who is all using the web server, if thats what you mean?
Edu-IT Posted September 20, 2009 Author Posted September 20, 2009 This script was a pretty page which showed which devices were up/down. I'm pretty sure it was Ozan who made it, as a free script, but I can't find it on his website.

Edu-IT Posted September 20, 2009 Author Posted September 20, 2009 I think it was webman who uploaded it Ah, okay, my mistake. That would make sense. Similar to the way nagios does? Yes.
RabbieBurns Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 sweet. Woulndt mind a look at that myself
Edu-IT Posted September 20, 2009 Author Posted September 20, 2009 I'll send webman a PM in case he doesn't notice this.
Edu-IT Posted September 20, 2009 Author Posted September 20, 2009 Anyone got links to these? I've done a forum search but failed.
Jackd Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 (edited) EDIT: Read webman's post further down Edited September 20, 2009 by Jackd
Edu-IT Posted September 20, 2009 Author Posted September 20, 2009 It was Ozan who made the .asp one, I'm told. It was posted on here somewhere.
webman Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Found the original thread http://www.edugeek.net/forums/networks/16832-helpdesk-network-status.html

EduTech Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 @ Edu-IT are you looking for this by anychance? https://www.opsoftware.net/pages/my-little-helpdesk-features/my-little-helpdesk-live-alert.php This is the little app that comes with My Little Helpdesk and does what your asking for. Ozan may have had one for other systems in which case it might be worth dropping him a PM. James.
OutToLunch Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 If all you want is a quick heads up on your desktop of what's up or down, Peer Monitor is a great little piece of freeware - Free ping-based network monitoring tool Run it on my admin PC here to quickly show if any access points have been switched off, print servers, etc - anything pingable. I know Nagios etc would provide more long term info/stats but this is a quick handy alternative.
