browolf Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) Dry Erase Paint for Work, School and Home White Boards| IdeaPaint I could do with a wall of that at home. for a to-do list and plans and stuff. Not sure where to get it in the UK tho. Edited September 17, 2009 by browolf
SC-UK Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 That's a really good idea! I have a white painted section of the wall over my desk at home with some clear perspex over it using mirror round head capped screws. Looks really cool and allows me to write on with dry erase pens and wipe of as well. The paint being the whiteboard surface would be even better!
Fatmas Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 It's pretty pricey when you could probably buy a whiteboard for less. Does anyone know what the paint actually is? It might be possible to make up some of it DIY style.
Chris_in_notts Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I'd imagine its like a high gloss hard wearing type paint, you you could paint a wall white then laquer it with automotive paint that'd work I reckon, abit extreme though haha
IT_Guy Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 In my previous location all the classrooms had 'whitewallpaper' - very effective and gives the instructor great flexability. Until they forget that it won't work on all the walls, just the white one......... They also have a habit of writing on the IWB's as well.
plexer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 The paint is also available in a small selection of colours other than white though. Ben
Ian_ICTDS Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 /sold I’ve got the perfect place in our office for this. Got to get myself some. Thanks for the post. Ian.

browolf Posted June 15, 2010 Author Posted June 15, 2010 (edited) did anyone get some? I had lots of people "interested" at work but nothing ever came of it. Edited June 15, 2010 by browolf
Ian_ICTDS Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 I forgot all about it TBH. Still a good idea though.
Pete10141748 Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Wow, I want some of this for my flat! It'd be awesome, not least to see the look on people's faces when you just start doodling all over the wall! lol
soveryapt Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 There are sheets of the thing somewhere too. Another useful post somewhere else on here Aye .. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/our-advertisers/45985-magic-whiteboard.html ..
creese Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Pricing not easy to find but £120 for 'a kit'. It's 2 pack so once mixed there's no going back. A kit covers 50 M2 says one coat but I'd paint the area in white first. So not a cheap product.
SiliconAlley Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Magic Whiteboard - it's all round the walls of our office and I even have some sheets up at home to plan the forthcoming house move! PM me for pricing.
