I think its to do with you trying to redirect to an administrative share, as the pupils aren't members of the administrator group (I hope!)

Try sharing the \\CURRICSVR1\2516$\ folder without the $.

(I think :-))

Dom

(And the folder you'll be seeing is this one: C:\Documents and Settings\2516\My Documents\My Pictures - it just couldn't redirect)

No, the dollar indicates that it's a hidden share, it just happens that administrative shares are also hidden.

Is that use details the account you made the profile with rather than the user logged on? I get it as its trying to access the profile creator account which obviously the logged on user has not got rights to.

Hmm I got this error very recently but so much has gone on since I can't quite recall...

IIRC I had to change the type to redirect all users to the same location and then set the folder redirection location. I use \\servername\homeshare$\%username%\mydocs

I'm not too sure what the grant exclusive rights needs to be. I think this can be enabled for my docs redirection but not for desktop and start menu.

Hi

Might not help, but I vaguely remember there being an issue with My Pictures and My Music folder redirection in SP3, which can be overcome by replacing gina.dll on the clients with the SP2 version.

Might be a complete blind alley though.

Also, check effective permissions on the folder that is being shared, and the share permissions also, and make sure they are OK.

Good luck

Maria
