edie209 Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 I have just installed censornet, and I know that a few of you are using it here, so I have a question I imported the users and the workstations and put them into groups, that all seems to be working, but when a user opens their internet browser and get the censornet log on box, entering their network username and password doesn't work, so have I missed something in the install? :?
JezR Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Try this link, Its normally something to do with time sync between AD and Censornet. http://forum.censornet.com/viewtopic.php?t=2225 Jez.
edie209 Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 I'm time syncing with my domain controller because I had already read that post, but thanks for replying.
ChrisH Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Try using the samba commands on the box to grab all the groups from the AD server etc to test if that aspect is working. Cant remember what they are off hand though.
ChrisH Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 wbinfo -t wbinfo -g wbinfo -u Those are the ones
john Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Talking of Timesync, my CN box for some reason looses Time Sync every month around the same time each month, any thoughts as to why that could be? The ISP is Zen its connected to but were not onto it direct, its via a Locustworld mesh system that the village uses (I hate it as I cannot have an external static IP which I want for RA to support them but hey ho thats another issue not for here). But the village team won't give me the time servers for Zen to sync with and others I have tried such as the MSFT one seem to get lost in there network, and they won't tell me if they have one on the system to sync with as they don't approve of CN as they didn't choose it for them (used to use Winproxy and something else with that and it was costing a bomb to use, so CN is much better value). Do any of our CN users have any ideas as to why it does jump, its always just over 1hr out so its not just loosing a few minutes it must jump overnight this hour, any thoughts apreciated!
