Not a Good Day :(

[Gatt]

1) Got Up Late

2) Get to Work and all the way to my office only to find I have no keys.. Must be in the car i say to my tech as I head back to it

3) Put key into passenger door lock and try to open it - wont budge.. takes out the key and promptly notice that it is a bit odd looking - when i go to the drivers door (different key) and look again - realisation dawns - the main key's tip broke off in the passenger door..

Now.. heres the dilema.. this key is:

 

A) The SPARE key - and the ONLY spare key in my possession....

B) This single key - Opens the Passenger door, the boot and the petrol cap

C) Is my Ignition key

 

Phones Mrs Gatt and breaks the news about the missing keys and now broken keys.....

 

Needless to say - she wasnt too impressed

 

To add further complications - my DC is currently upgrading to R2... and the DR DC is not doing its job.. so its thrown auithentication out the window and I cannot login to google for

 

About 2 hrs later DCs are back so start googling, eventually find a locksmith who will do it for £90 Cash.. and then find the sodding keys that I was looking for in the first place... locked in my server cabinet!! :doh:

 

Not a problem i says... as soon as I hang up I realise that my bank card doesnt work (C&P is broken and Mag-stripe scratched)

 

Back on the dog and bone to Mrs Gatt, who gices me my one bit of good news - my new bank card arrived.. After much grovelling from my good self on the phone, she agrees to come out with the card

 

At about 14:30 the locksmith arrives, within 20 mins he has made a new key

 

Just need to be extra nice to Mrs Gatt for a few weeks now

Sympathies Gatt... a flippin' awful Monday. Look on the bright side at least the kids (and most of the teachers hopefully) weren't in school hassling you on top of your problems.

 

Tomorrow can only be an improvement. Fingers crossed!

There was no one in today at all - jsut me and my tech, a caretaker, and a few cleaners!

Oh and now the Vac has just stopped working Though think its just overheated!

Must be from cleaning up all those biscuit crumbs from that cookie monster you have in your house mate

 

As for me I've had a good day tbh Is it a sign of things to come?

 

Should have said its nice you found them in your server cabinet nice and safe and secure
