Replacing Macbook screen

A mate has stood on his 13 in Macbook, cracked screen but all else seems OK.

 

I've seen replacements on Ebay around seventy quid and found a replacement walkthru

guide online that seems pretty standard.

 

Are there any pitfalls I need to know about before volunteering to fix it for him?

This is generic really rather than based on macbook screen changing but watch out for plastic clips and super strength double sided tape! Its a bugger to shift and can snap / need to be replaced on some plastics. But other than that steady hand, good mini screwdrivers, patience and something thin but strong to get plastic clips unclipped will do the job

There are other sites too that show you what to do etc. Make sure you have a nice clean desk to put the screws etc when you remove them, it's not easy

Select Mac Book down the left hand side and you can select what item(s) you are trying to replace

 

That or go onto youtube and should find lots of video clips of how to do it on there
