4x40matt Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I have used one of these and it works, also believe they will let you return it if it doesn't work.
4x40matt Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 sorry, forgot the link Viseco | Projector Management Solutions.
Sambob Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I use KPMS and they are pretty good. They usually answer the phone straight away and are prompt with emails. They often have the price for most products off hand, so no need to wait ages for a quote as I have had to with other companies such as Roche etc..... They can get supply pretty much any replacement remote at a pretty good price. They can even get bespoke remotes for specific projectors with specific buttons with specific functions.... They even do a remote recoiler and coiled remote cables so you can secure your remotes to the wall/desk etc.
KK20 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 BenQ remotes are like gold dust. PB2250 remotes (at reasonable prices) are near impossible to find. If anyone knows of a good "universal" remote that will work then i'd be grateful. I like the remote recoiler above - I'm tempted to put promethean pens on one (dont get me started on the nibs going missing. Epoxy is your friend)
plexer Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 How can you expoxy the nib of a promethean pen in place? Ben

KK20 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 (edited) How can you expoxy the nib of a promethean pen in place? Ben pull nib out, blob epoxy sparingly on sides, let it go tacky, push nib in. Worked on all of ours so far. @Sambob - Yeah, no PB2250 support though (small credit card size ones) the 5F.26J1K.071 doesnt work with the 2250 and the "wand" 2240 (though it some websites say they should - I was stung after ordering a pair) ones dont work either. Curse the previous guy who put those BenQ's in! Edited June 21, 2011 by KK20
exim Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I see a few old suggestions for this, but what is the best all round IR code learning remote now? Any recommendations? I need the remote to end all remotes! For projectors (mainly), TVs, DVD/VCRs, you name it. It'd be nice to build a master remote for all devices on site for backup purposes. Thanks
MJH1985 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I know it's an old thread however... I use "Wallis UK" (http://www.wallace-universal.co.uk) for replacement remotes - beat programmable ones as they have only the required buttons + properly labelled, but they're about the size of a normal TV remote so a lot harder to lose (and take AAA batteries). Usually about £30 each though but beats the £70 most originals come in at. Never used the website but they've always been quick at answering and converting a projector model number into remote control part code.
