Correct. I'll see what they do when I give them my notice to quit at the end of the month. by all accounts they are desperate for companies to stay, and the anoyign thing is that the office they showed me is still vacant!

Mortal Engines Quartet

 

Absolutely brilliant series of books that are far too good for the older children that they are purportedly aimed at. Set in a steampunk world where tracked cities chase and devour each other, the books follow Tom and Hester through various adventures up to a stunning climax.

 

Why a merely "OK" writer like JK Rowling is huge while Reeve isn't is one of the mysteries of life. His Larklight series and the prequel to "Engines", along with his revisionist take on Arthurian legend are also well worth seeking out.

The only thing they understand is witholding payment and leaving. As a hint, the people you are dealing with are not passing any problems up the chain, you will have to contact the regional manager yourself.

My office window is about 7ft from the floor, so if i wanted to look out, I would have to climb my desk. lol

 

Make sure you do a risk assesment first, have three points of contact at all times and, preferably, wear a high-vis vest and hard hat

I think that's deemed illegal, but there is something in the H&S Act about working in rooms without natural light for over so many hours a day I believe which you could find to your advantage....
