CyberNerd Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Can someone remind me what the government centralised procurement scheme for schools IT is called. I recall it was launched a while back, I think becta had something to do with it. It was mostly for LA's. They had a website. what is it called ??
powdarrmonkey Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 OGCBuying.solutions? and the Catilist thingy. 1
localzuk Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 OGCBuying.solutions? and the Catilist thingy. They've changed their name to just 'Buying Solutions' now. They've also withdrawn the Catalist brand, so it is now just Buying Solutions as the brand too IIRC. (Although not all suppliers using this have been told/changed their branding etc...). http://www.buyingsolutions.gov.uk/aboutus/generalinformation/Wevechanged/
powdarrmonkey Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Good, it always was a stupid name (both of them). "Full stops in the middle of sentences and deliberate mis-spellings are all hip and groovy now; let's see how many we can get in our name!"

powdarrmonkey Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Also, try to initialise "Buying Solutions"... Same reason I used to name business studies machines "BS-##" at my old place Edit: thinking about it, they were "BSIT-##", which was even less subtle..
