leco Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 ... that when remoting into a Server I have the option, on the Start menu, to Shutdown but on a workstation I only have Disconnect. Why not have Shutdown on both as I'm just as likely to want to re-start a workstation as I am a server.

I have a hunch that it's for users remoting into their own workstations, to deflect them from shutting them down and then wanting to get back in ten minutes later. Wheras, as an administrator, you're supposed to be able to deal with that kind of planning. Personally, I'd have put them the other way round, but I am not Microsoft.
