I hope someone can help me.

Is there a way of opening Cubase so that the students dont have to keep on setting up sound card, plugins etc and other settings. The sudents have a mandatory profile so any changes they make to their local profile are not saved back to their network profile, therefore requiring initial setting up every time.

Thanks

We found that music applications and networks don't play particularly nicely together. Our music PCs are now standalone only (in fact a lot are macs), they use the active directory for authentication and nothing else.

I've not really tried outside of using standalone machines for cubase, but could you not put the settings into the mandatory profile then when they load cubase that should solve the issue?

Just a thought.

Open Cubase, set it up how you want it, save as template. Deploy the template file to all your Music PCs. Tell kids which template to choose from. Done.
