Carphone Warehouse buys Tiscali

Carphone Warehouse has bought Tiscali's UK businesses for £236m after lengthy on-again off-again negotiations.

 

The cash deal, announced this morning, will see Talk Talk and Tiscali's networks integrated within two years. Service will not be interrupted by the deal, and for now Tiscali customer service remains the point of contact for subscribers.

Even if I do still have to deal with Tiscali's customer disservice, there's light at the end of the tunnel.

 

Which reminds me. Must send that complaint to them yet again. Maybe they'll respond this time.

I have to say that apart from allowing BT to do an illegal takeover of my line they haven't been too bad on the whole;.

Talk Talk and Tiscali's tech support is probably outsourced to the same call centres anyway

 

Good luck to anybody on Tiscali if the way AOL apparently became far worse than it was (hey, apparently it was possible after all) after they took it over is anything to go by!

TalkTalk have a forum though where you can actually get support from people who do help and who do know what they're doing! They seem to care too.

If I do ever need support I don't bother with calling anymore. The staff on the forum can do pretty much everything ranging from billing issues to changes on your line.
