Hi,

I have made and compiled my own package with the idea and help from Michael. The package is called the VLE package and it installs all the required software to run our school VLE. It is designed to distribute to students to install on there home computer. No more problems with students not being able to open anything on the home PC.

The package contains:

Adobe Reader 9.1

Audacity

Combined Community Codec Pack

CutePDF

Adobe Flash 10

Promethean FlipChart Viewer

SmartBoard Notebook Viewer

Java 6 Update 13

OpenOffice 3

Quicktime 7.6

Shockwave 11.5

SWF viewer.

All the user does is run a single .exe and it installs the lot.

If anyone is interested please reply here

Is it possible to chose software not to install?

It's seems really useful but we don't have Promethean for example.

Samsung have a really neat splash screen when you run the drivers/software disk which lets you tick the options you want then installs all the ticked ones with no further user intervention.

You cant choose what to install. I use winzip to make the single exe

I can make a few alterations if people wish though. As long as its not over the top. :)

All you do is run the single exe and it install all of the above.

Im open to suggestions, but please take into account that we need the package as small as possible.
