Hi all you citrix bods,

I have a question. I am wanting to turn on our Web Interface for certain key members of staff to use to remote in. Only thing is I want this to be secure. ie. HTTPS site and then secure connection to the server.

What do I need to do to do this? The admin guide isn't exactly the most helpful thing in the world.

I am running Windows 2003 R2 servers, Citrix XenApp 5, and will be using ISA to do the 'publishing' as it calls it.

Also, what ports need to be open?

Cheers

Tony

There's a brilliant guide that I used when setting up Secure Gateway (BTW - that's the part you want to set up).

How To: Install and Configure Citrix Web Interface 4.6 and Citrix Secure Gateway on the same server (Part 1)

How To: Install and Configure Citrix Web Interface 4.6 and Citrix Secure Gateway on the same server (Part 2)

Make sure that everything is fully up to date and patched to get the most out of the features. You may have to go off to 'My Citrix' for the latest installtion files.

Thanks. Looks like I'll be setting up a virtual machine to handle that task then. And buying a SSL cert.

Nice small, quick and easy process! Not.

As long as you have a working web interface site setup, you can just bang on the secure gateway component onto your web interface box (assuming you are running them both off the same server)

You can get a free 2 year SSL cert from IPSCA
