Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 Vapor-X (2Gb GDDR5) for my stepdads birthday.

 

One thing, I do not have the funds to pay outright in 1 hit due to my baby being born any day now, but I can pay £15-£25 a month on a lease to hire deal.

 

Anyone able to sort a deal out?

Aria have it on special offer at the moment, and they offer a 'buy now pay in 9 months' finance deal on orders over £300... So it may do the job for you, as you could stick £35 a month in a bank account and then pay it in 9 months?

Seems like the obvious choice. I was taught a valuable thing as a boy. If you want it, save for it. If you can't afford to buy it then you can't afford to buy it on credit either.

Quite right - and if you have "limited funds" - and don't worry been there with a new baby, know what its like - then why are you buying him such an expensive birthday present?

Or you could talk to other people looking for presents to buy him, and see if a group of you can get together to buy it rather than just buying it yourself.

Took advice, my brothers and I are gonna club together to get it.

 

As for why...well its simple as this, it is the last time I will be able to get him anything good before he goes to singapore and he is taking his machine with him. I wanted to get him something he can appreciate as he is a hardcore gamer.
