laserblazer Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Seems there are a fair number of two-wheel experts on the forum, so perhaps you can advise. When I retire in a year or so (depending on the economic situation) we won't want to run two cars so I thought about getting a little scooter to run around on. A 125cc would be fine. Something with good stowage for the shopping and a helmet. I've looked at some of these Chinese imports but that might be false economy. Any recommedations?

Safe too, at least I was in a side on with a van and didn't hurt one bit. They look like a snake thats eaten a goat mind but the look grows on you... If you downgrade to a 50cc (for whatever reason), I know it will still cruise along at 55ish.

I can pick it up, not that I'VE dropped it, which is a long and not really interesting story!

I ride a VFR750 to work and back every day in rain and sun and to be honest I dont really get all that wet. Not much storage on it mind without panniers and top box.
