I was wondering as anyone else come accross a copy of this and installed it?

might be interesting just to see how poor it is :)

hope the graphics card requirements are less than the desktop version, noone is going to want to buy a big graphics card for a server.

well i cant comment on that at the moment, lol.... but i will let u know if it really is poor or if for once they have excelled themselves!

Got this running on a 1.5Ghz 2Gb laptop.

Installed almost all the functions - AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, File Serving, Printing, etc.

Its pretty much rock solid as far as I've tested it - not added any workstations to it though.

The administration a little different (can't compare it to vista as i haven't looked at that yet). Seems to carry on from the new File Management mmc v 3 in 2003 R2.

All other the stuff from 2003 R2 is in there.

The GPMC has tonnes of new stuff in it too.

I am a MSFT Partner as well as a registered Beta Tester, and have been for about 4 years now, so I am starting to get onto many good programs, but don't worry a public build will appear eventually....

I do more work than just working for schools, if I just worked for a school I would not be able to afford to live! My car insurance is more than one months pay where I work :(

So I do a lot of private work as well as I used to run my own business a few years back so I kept the status up etc.... But its worth it, I get the MSFT Action Pack subscription still for my personal evaluation use and its worth it as for my own use I would find Technet /+ too much really so that does the job. Also means from my own work I got contacts at MSFT who are great, and some good distys that I can pull a few strings with to get me good pricing for education and they don't mess me around as I know them well.
