GPO Error in Event Viewer

Ahhhh have got a W2K3 DC throwing out the error "Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GP ......." It happens every 5 mins.

 

Can access the policy via the sysvol share from the server so I have no idea.

 

Anyone here got a clue?

what does dcdiag say? Is dns set correctly? is it registered in dns?

 

Every 5 mins is not so good, once at boot is ok.

Cheers for the info DMcCoy - Had alook over that link and all was as it should be.

 

After some more googling i ran - dfsutil /PurgeMupCache - from the cmd prompt and touch wood the errors have gone away.

Im Now getting this error. As before its every 5 mins. The error seems to point to the Default Domain Policy. I check all the setting as seem to be fine.

 

So will the command above work? what does it do?
