Must be laundry weekend specials all those ironing boards, covers, irons, washing products etc! Tony must be in heaven with all that lot :)

As for cotton shirt tips, great, but my lovely housekeeper tells me that my shirts are such good quality they practically iron themselves, in the wash, come out and dry on the rack above the aga and they are normally fairly crease free due to the quality of the cotton so I'm told. Must be another reason for Ted Baker shirts then.

Those drying balls are crud (ok maybe not those specific ones...). My gf got some ages ago... used them for a while (i didnt notice a difference). Then one day, they exploded. Ripped holes in all the clothes. She was not pleased to say the least!

I have to say I avoid ironing if at all possible. However, in the interests of being able to get into my dining room, I do have to give in and plough through it regularly. I wouldn't say I loathe ironing, simply because loathe doesn't describe the level of hatred... and the other half's city shirts are a b*gger to iron.

I can recommend the steam generator iron though... mine does make the job a lot easier. £59 from Aldi is a very good price.

TIP: Chaps... don't give one to the gf/wife tomorrow. You may find your valentine's gift is not greatly appreciated! :D

You'd have a hard job as they are only available from Sunday.

I don't do ironing

I hang up wet shirts on a proper hanger and leave them - I find that mostly I don't need to do anything else. As mrwITch drives for 1.5 hours every day just to get to work, his shirts are creased to heck anyway.

If he wants something ironed, he can do it himself.

I do all our ironing, and even if I am drivinga long way it gets an iron. If I take my suit jacket off it still looks better than others who buy the 'crease-free' shirts.

I don't use starch anymore though.
