Face-Man Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 see Pay schools to let teachers advise on new buildings, says report | Education | guardian.co.uk I do think that this is a definite problem with the process The Association of School and College Leaders' policy director, Malcolm Trobe, applauded the scheme but raised concerns, about the limited time schools have to select ICT systems. Tight deadlines for projects do not leave enough time for "considered decision-making", he said.
steve Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Then the logic must be to pay the techies to help select those ICT systems! Did you just see that flock of winged swine over head? :flypig: :flypig:
DrPerceptron Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Don't teachers get paid enough already? Why can't they just use time... I don't know, after the school day? I'm sure half an hour at the end of a day won't kill them and destroy what little social life they must have to do all the planning they claim they don't get paid enough for...
Simcfc73 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Teachers should teach... thats why theres been a shake up over the past few years takingf away some of their responsibilities. Problem is some of them got used to the £45k a year for being head of year/department/parking/toilets/daffodils and they want the money back.
