SMS & Voice gateway - VoiceConnect

Just sat thru a presentation by a company called VoiceConnect about their SMS & Voice gateway products that can talk to SIMS and Bromcom and will let us text or voicemail parents as soon as their child misses registration etc. etc.

 

Is anyone using their products (or anything similar)?

not used it but i know of them and people used them and also no of someone who who use to supply equipment for them..

We use Call Parents / Truancy Call which does a similar thing. When it works it's very effective.

just found out we are trailing a vc product here called something like informer

Thats the one.

There are three versions: software only, box onsite but using their gateway and own gateway. Any idea which one you're using? Hows the trial going?

hmmm first time used it error message not connected to internet

 

But we are support tell us it "is network issue

 

Well what it is due to the fact the network drops the internet connection when not used and so it tries and connects to internet via network cant find it but in mean time that starts network connection back up and then next time it tries works ok..."

 

My response well wouldn’t it be better if you checked no connection then checked a second time and still if no connection then it tells me there is a problem as are network is doing as it meant to

 

Upshot developers are due to call me...
