Heathrow T3

Anyone been there lately? I've got to pick my son on Tuesday. In the past I have waited outside for a phone call but with new security regulations how close can I get to the terminal without having to pay?

Not sure about Heathrow T3, but Birmingham airport have put those large concrete blocks everywhere, making it pretty much impossible to drive anything into the building let alone get near it. Even for a short stay (which I think is 20 mins), you have to pay £1. Just an excuse to make money in the circumstances

I think I went out of T3 and I'm pretty sure there was a drop off/pick up bay but I'm not sure how long you can wait there. IN fact looking at this pic there are bays

It's because of my familiarity with BHX carpark that I asked the question, the thieving b*stards. Although it is our local airport, we avoid it like the plague now and use Bristol, East Midlands or Cardiff. They all provide limited free parking in short-stay. Birmingham allows 30 minutes free parking in the long-stay but it takes 20 minutes to walk to the terminal!

I live right near there, can you wait outside the airport but your not allow to leave the car to go into the terminal..

T3 - HA HA HA - worse Terminal at Heathrow - best bet is to play 'dodge the police / Warden' in the drop off bays outside the front.

Park up [ if you can get a space outside the front ], wait - DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR.

If you get asked to move along, just drive round again, and again and again and again.

It's either that or pay about £5 for an hour or so in the carpark.....

I've just found out it's T5 which I've never been to. It's not in my Garmin satnav which is only a few months old. Seems you have to park in the short-term carpark there, unless anyone know different.

There's a good map here, looks like you take J14 M25 and then just follow signs for T5

Pleasantly surprised with T5. It was easy to drive in and out and I had a bucket of coffee for £1.95 at Costas.
