Hi Everyone I was wondering if anyone can help out on an with this issue that i am experiencing with connecting Macs to Active Directory. Our Art Department has gone down the road of using Macs for everything. We originally had three Macs with OS X 10.4.8 – 10.4.11 Tiger which has always worked fine connecting to AD. Staff and Students can log into these and get there home drive. We have another three Macs with OS X 10.5.0 Leopard and it has always been put to the back of our job list to connect them to AD as we have know there are issues connecting them to AD since the release of 10.5.0 – 10.5.2 but we have update the build 10.5.5, which is supposedly able to connect to AD. They still don’t connect to AD although you can see selected users to connect through system preferences, accounts, and then login options. To see if it this is a network issue through some sort of change we have “unbind” an old Mac from AD and it connected back up straight away by binding it back to AD which worked. Has anyone else had any issues connecting a new Leopard Mac or actually managed to connect one without buying any additional 3rd party software?
