EduTech Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Evening, Does anyone know of a free peice of software or add-on for IE so that it wil Auto-Refresh the page? We currently have our learning gateway and email from Shireland CLC, and there using MOSS, they have the email intergrated etc, but after 15 mins of inactivity it logs us out of the gateway.. now allot of staff are complaining that they dont like to keep logging in and out so i need to come up with a solution until our VLE and Own Email system is up and running (in about 3 months if not sooner) I understand the security issue's so know exactly why this has been done, but the auto refresh will only be given to staff who i know Lock There machines etc.. so mainly the Sec's and ICT Teachers. OutToLunch Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 If you want to do it without any addons, you could give PAGE REBOOT : automatically refresh any website a whirl. May or may not work depending on the website, but would save a lot of hassle.

AndyD Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Right click on the IE7Pro icon (at the bottom right of your browser window), Refresh Current Tab and choose the required value.

This was actually for a sharepoint site, which is managed by shireland and they have set it to sign us out every 10 minutes of inactivity. unfortunatly for people such as ourselves who use email all through the day its a nightmare to keep signing in. So we never had access to the source code James.
