If it wasn't for that visionary all that time ago we wouldn't be graced with the beauty of the Logitec G9 mouse today.

Hats off to the mouse!!! :yo:

Grrr :), I tried to put this in the edugeek calendar about a week back and it said that it had been submitted and was awaiting admin approval. Anyway, happy birthday mouse, I wonder if I should throw my one a party of some sort. Cheesecake, candles :D, maybe not

It's funny because it really hasn't changed that much at all. It also looks like (in the clip) they're using the mouse upside down as the cable is coming out the bottom and not the top of the mouse.

I think eventually it'll be a combination of touch screen and voice activation which will bypass the need for a mouse altogether, as well as the keyboard.

Happy Birthday Mouse, have some cheese on me!

I don't.. theres a clip on the BBC site related to the Birthday Mouse clip that also said about this.

It would be straining on the arm tapping away on an upright screen. Or on the neck looking towards the table tapping away. Hunch back would become very popular. Also imagine doing really fine art work with your finger. Unless your zoomed so a pixel is the size of your nose... your fingers going to be that little bit to podgey for really detailed stuff.

I think Mr Mouse is going to be around for a very long time with many new features to come.

If anything a USB Drawing Pad would replace it.
