VAT Ledger Code Patch

Anybody done the New VAT Ledger Code Patch yet?

 

I've recieved various e-mails with the patch and instructions, along with difficulties some people are having.

 

This being a patch to FMS, am I right in assuming that it's only FMS users I need to ensure are not on the system or do I have to make sure everybody is out of SIMS as well? (I know the two are linked).

I haven't seen mention of a patch, just instructions on what to change in KB84457. Got a link to the patch?

We only use FMS - we haven't had a patch through, just a sheet of instructions for adding new ledger codes. We didn't have to kick anyone off to make the changes.

It's come from our LEA Support (Captia), Patch ID: 1494. Does seem specific to LA Number 866.

 

The e-mail also states:

 

The VAT patch is being issued in two stages. The

first stage which I have emailed to you, will be available on the SOLUS

website with full instructions and guidance in the next few hours.

 

The instructions supplied to the patch I've recieved mention using the dbupgrade tool, but looks like it'll be on Solus too.

Interesting - coz we are FMS only too - but we got a patch to run - would you mind sending your instructions - as I'd prefer to do that - than run some nasty patch.

Please be aware that the patch is LA specific because the values that are changed depend on the LA ledger codes in use.

 

Not all LAs have requested that we do the necessary work.
