Hi guys,

Is there any way of tracking what a computer does and when during startup? Like a real-time view when windows starts?

Thing is, my laptop takes forever to boot up and I want to know what's going on. I've tried disabling start up options in msconfig but still can't pin it down. I was hoping, if I could see what was happening in real-time on my screen, I could find out what it was doing.

Thanks.

use event viewer to see if there are any errors in loading ? Check services to see if there are any un necesary services starting up with windows by either using msconfig ( services tab ) or going into services.msc.

Also starting up with safemode and see if it hangs on anything ?

Presume you have latest drivers installed for motherboard ie chipset drivers, etc.
