Hi there, I have recently been getting electric shocks from the bottom of my laptop when it is plugged into the mains, Is there something wrong with my laptop or something wrong with the charger? Anyone else experienced this? It is getting on my nerves now! Can anyone help?

why not go the whole hog and only use the laptop whilst wearing a polyester suit and sitting in the bath!!!!!!! lol

I would certainly get that checked out as a matter of urgency

Are we talking a 'proper' electric shock or a static shock? Granted it may not be easy to tell the difference...

Some laptop power supplies these days don't have an earth connection. You can tell by looking at the main lead on the power supply; if it's flat, rather than round, then it has no earth. This causes some laptops to build up static. Dell had a lot of complaints about this earlier in the year on some of their models.

I used to get really nasty static shocks of my Samsung laptop.. I just put it down to the cheap trousers I used to wear to work, because they used to always get messy with crawling under desks and such.
