Annoying little problem with the T60s and so far it only seems to be with the 1951 model.

Basically sometimes when you log in (possibly due to fingerprint scanner but not able to proove) the keyboard and mouse become total unresponsive.

I have tried installing the latest drivers and patches but the fault still occurs!

Has any one else got T60's with this fault? Do you know of any fixes?

It is seemingly random making it hard to solve.

Cheers

We had a similar problem with our T60's and although it sounds strange it was a battery/power management issue. Make sure you have the lenovo power management tool installed. (we took it off when we imaged them) and also check the state of the battery. In about all the cases when we replaced the battery, the fault disappered.

Power manager is installed on the test machine and it says that the battery is in good condition, also the fault occurs weather its plugged in to the power or not.

did the power manager actually report your battery faults or didu test them some otherway

Sorry that you are still having the problem, one thing we noticed with ours, was that the problem did not occur when the battery was removed from the laptop and just run on the power adapter.

Also have you imaged these machines or do they have a factory install of the OS on?? If you have imaged them then it may be worth factory resetting one and seeing if the problem still occurs.

We don't have Factory restore CD Due to the machines being second hand

My image is nothing more than normal windows install plus latest drivers for hardware devises installed.

except the device connected to INTEL 82801GBM LPC interface controller as i have no idea what it is or where to find the driver. is screaming out to me now that this could be cause of fault hadn't given it second thought.

installed that driver rebooted at login so that wasn't it also the device says its not got correct drivers installed still which is odd because the device Id is same at required for the drivers you sent me.
