FN-GM Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Would you have a glossy or non glossy screen on a Macbook pro?
powdarrmonkey Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Sunlight, fingerprints and glossy screens just don't play nicely together.
EvLPhenom Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 i would have non glossy as others have said they just a pain as they get dirty quick and if you have sunlight behind you they are a pain, as all you see is a reflection of whats behind you.
pooley Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Non glossy here, I have a non glossy MB pro and the IT co-ordinator has a glossy one, as has been said, shows up marks, no good in sunlight etc.
localzuk Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I have a glossy MBP and a non-glossy imac. I prefer the MBP screen myself. Colours are a lot more vivid and deep.
Domino Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 fingerprints are why jesus invented screenwipes
localzuk Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 fingerprints are why jesus invented screenwipes Exactly. Couple it with the fact that i never actually poke my screens, and it stays nice and clean...
MacBama Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I am happy that others like the Glossy screen. But please, don't force one on me. I would not buy a glossy screen. Over saturated bigger than life colors are fine for web browsing but not for graphics or photography, and there needs to be an option for MBP and Cinema Display. How Apple could think otherwise boggles the mind. All of you that are happy, just allow us to go our own way, because we have good reason to want a more accurate display.
