New to SIMS.net & SLG2

As complete novices to SIMS.net and SLG2 we are finding it incredibly difficult to find how to add users to SLG2. We did have a days training on SLG2 but obviously not enough! We have done the AD provisioning thing in SIMS.net but cannot find where to add them in SLG2. AD provisioned users can be seen in SLGpages, but only the users added by the trainer can be seen in SLGManagement page. (I'm going to film any further training!) We have looked at the manuals but still cannot find how to add users!

Have they setup a script on your server to run the following command as a scheduled task?

 

""D:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn\ADPScedule.bat""

 

Or similar? This runs on our server every morning at 7:00AM which pulls the info into the SLG.

If you really mean this, we had this: Mediasite - RL440 Presentation Recorder - Room-based Rich Media Recording - Rapid Technologies - Liverpool, Merseyside, UK demonstrated to us at an LA IT Support meeting, actually, it was an older version, that didn't look as pretty, may have been this: Mediasite - ML440 Mobile Presentation Recorder - Rapid Technologies - Liverpool, Merseyside, UK

 

It's not cheap, I don't know anyone who uses it, we didn;t think we'd use it enough to buy one, and I would want an AV Tech.

Thanks to everyone who responded. We have found the error in our ways! We could not find a way to add users because there isn't one! All that is required is the Routine AD provisioning from SIMS.net. Our problem stemmed from having multiple email addresses in parent records that were set to “Main” – fine for SIMS – Not fine for AD. The clue was in Event Viewer, here were error messages relating to the Scheduled Task failing. Oh well, you learn something new…
