We're using IdentD as part of our filtering/security setup on laptops and workstations...just turned it on to find the minibooks' internet is now screwed...downloaded a linux package for identd, but Xandros doesn't seem to have the Make command that the install needs..

anyone got any ideas how to get round this...i mean anything...but maybe not involving a hammer or a blow torch...

not having make is a symptom of not having a compiler installed. You probably need to install gcc. How you go about doing that on an eeepc I'm not sure.

Can you not find a .deb for IdentD?

If you're missing Make you'll probably find you're missing a bunch of other bits, too - on Ubuntu these are combined in the package "build-essential". A Google search for something like "Xandros build essential" should hopefully turn up some useful information.
