What can we spend Harnessing & Technology money on?

We have had our Harnessing & Technology grant come in. What can we sue to spend this money on?

 

Can it spent on Hardware? I seem to remember that you could not spent E-Learning credits on hardware but donot know about this money?

Members should be aware that access to this funding varies from LA to LA. Some LAs have taken some or all of this money to cover procurements made on behalf of their schools to gain Best Value, one of the targets given to LAs by Becta.

I am surprised that you have only been told / given the money now, we have had it here since the start of our financial year (April) - infact I think were spent up or 1 or 2k left anyway.

Some LAs have taken some or all of this money to cover procurements made on behalf of their schools to gain Best Value, one of the targets given to LAs by Becta.

 

And some of the LA's topslice the money to give Worst Value

Now we have about 25% of the harnessing tech money top sliced so that the LA can pay for a learning platform that is next to useless (uniservity) for our school, when we already have something (moodle) that outperforms by miles and is way cheaper. way to go.

You should of got it already, unless your LEA spent it for you. Ask your bursar about it.
