powdarrmonkey Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Have you thrown in the towel?! or just spotted it?
witch Posted September 25, 2008 Author Posted September 25, 2008 It too senior for me - deputising for the network manager in a big comprehensive is waaaay above me. I just saw it in the local paper and thought someone might want to come down to civilisation!

witch Posted September 25, 2008 Author Posted September 25, 2008 Don't know where you are, HBJB - too embarrassed to admit it? Dorset is warm - we have the forest, the sea, the hills, and now apparently one of the longest life expectancies in England! So there!
powdarrmonkey Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 (edited) I'd love to live in Dorset, but not just yet. It's going on my Things to Do Some Day list though. Edit: So is living in the New Forest. Edited September 25, 2008 by powdarrmonkey

Dorset is warm - we have the forest, the sea, the hills, and now apparently one of the longest life expectancies in England! So there! I speak from experience Holiday prices all year round, usually wet, when the sun does shine you can't get near the coast because of the grockles and massively expensive houses (if are there any left - they all seem to be knocked down in favour of new blocks of 12 flats). Still ... having said that the new Forest is nice in parts - shame people drop litter everywhere, I love Moyles Court (nostalgia trip) and then there's Weymouth - with a pub on every corner and it's own weather system it's a pleasure to visit. @ Witch - I have a feeling we've met. Which school(s) do you work at? HBJB
Jiser Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I applied for this one. Anyone know anything about ferndown upper? I checked all the website out - looks good. It says deputising/supervising but according to staff list there is only the I.T. Tech (this job) and I.T. manager anyway + an AVA/I.T. Tech. Looks like more competition for me then. However you say civilisation. Poole/Bournemouth and Christchurch + satelite towns is a bloomin big area - I would say much bigger than southampton area if you google earth it. No dissing dórset!!
witch Posted September 26, 2008 Author Posted September 26, 2008 Ferndown upper is a reasonable school although it isnt doing as well as the other similar schools in the area. Big school for only two techs though I am up the road so if anyone gets it, give me a shout. HBJB - how would you not remember if we have met or not? How many female IT techs do you know??
