SIMS September Release

Capita release two test dataset, a primary and a secondary. Green Abbey and Waters Edge. I think it's only for partners such as LEA, business partners etc.

 

Look on SupportNet, that's where I get it from.

I'm confused (nothing new there then) - our 'Sims Lady' was told there was the September update to do so I've been on Solus tonight and there's nothing there waiting.

 

Has anyone else in Warwickshire done the Sept update yet or have the LEA not released it yet?

We release to support units and they then chose when to release to their schools.

Done Sept upgrade here and no probs. Even sorted my Census out today!

Upgrade done here last week. 3 problems fixed and (touch wood) no apparent problems.

One minor problem when upgrading was that a couple of files already on the server and due to be overwritten were read only and needed that attrib removed for the upgrade to work but as it had happened before the panic was shortlived!

Yes, my upgrade went okay too. It halted at one point, as it couldn't back the database up, but I've seen that before so just ran it from a DOS command prompt with a /nobackup switch. I should look at the article about why this happens some time...
