I didn't even realise he was ill until it was reported by the BBC, it was very short from what I've gathered. A sad, sad day for progressive music.

Ohhh, bugger. Seen them twice, had hoped to again...

 

The Wall, and Earl's Court 1994. It just happened that I found the original broadcast of the concert on VHS last week, and have just transferred it to DVD. I'll be watching that tonight.

I was too young for anything but Live 8, which of course then didn't hold quite the same significance. I'd hoped they might do just one more proper retiring concert like the old days, but it was never very likely.
